Why a paid blog?
The short answer: Type 1 Diabetes.
The long answer: it involves time. How I'm greatly aware that time is my most valuable asset. Truth is paid subscriptions have an uncanny ability to weed out the trolls and time wasters.
I'm running on borrowed time because I shouldn't be here right now. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes after getting sick, going to the doctor, and being diagnosed as a stomach flu. I was told to go drink a bunch of Gatorade, and three days later I came back to the hospital. My blood sugar was 1,365.
Now there's people reading this who I know, for an absolute fact, you stopped and read that twice. I should have never made it, and to be blunt I shouldn't have made it much past birth. I was born early, they had to take me out as I was being crushed by a tumor, but I was so small they strapped me down with popsicle sticks because I, apparently, was like "screw you guys, I'm going home". I was on oxygen, phenobarbital for seizures, and I wasn't supposed to do as much as walk. Turns out I'm fine, other than the diabetes and having a "weird" outlook on life, but I value my time more than anything else.
That's why I trade. It's for the freedom, not the financial freedom. Trading, for the most part, doesn't make the poor, rich. It makes the rich, richer. You can live a comfortable life, without needing a regular job, but it's probably best you don't go into this thinking you'll trade your way from a $1,000 to a $1,000,000 in a year.
The paywall isn't here to hide "secret" information. You can go check my swing strategy and my mean reversion strategy for free, it's to protect my time. Things like Q&A which take time every day; but you're more than welcome to hit the strategies and leave.
